milliongenerations.org was conceived by just another person with ambitions like being recognized, going to TED and passing on her genes. If this project would ever lead to anything valuable, that value would have to be generated by many. A friend pointed out that the credits claimed by a founder might stand in the way of other's contributions and the founder's faults might discredit the project, so rolling it out and starting to promote it was done by somebody else with similar ambitions. So why does it matter? And with a name, what would you know?
